Personnel of the Industrial Forestry Operations group designed and
constructed a simple two-panel, 18 ft length stress-laminated bridge
with the following dimensions: 8 in. deep, 18 ft long, 4 ft wide.
All lumber was sawn, drilled, assembled and then transported to the
field. Cost estimates are provided in Table 4.

Figure 5 shows a close-up
of the end of one of the panels and Figure 6 shows the panel being
pulled into place using a backhoe. An 8 in. x 8 in. cant was used
to support each end and spikes were used to hold the panels in
place.
