GPS/GIS Study

Overview:

Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are revolutionizing the way we manage natural resources. Many 4-H Extension Agents in Virginia now have access to GPS units that they can bring to your classroom and provide instructions. The College of Natural Resources at Virginia Tech will also assist classrooms with scientific investigations that utilize GPS and GIS. Satellite photos are from Landsat, April 7, 1999.
