A skidder that uses a set of bottom-opening jaws to assemble and hold the load. The main advantage over a cable-skidder is that the operator does not need to get out of the cab to accumulate a turn. It greatly increases productivity and safety - but is limited to sites where you can drive to all the felled trees. |
