Overview:

Students measure trees on their school campus or on forest plots nearby. Each tree will be tagged with a number provided by Virginia Tech. The tree's circumference will be measured once a year and students will update the tree's information on the tree growth database. Contact Jeff Kirwan about submitting data. This project can be done any time of year. Data submitted will be live on the web immediately. Students may then answer questions about the summary graphs available in the contents of the database.
