Review:
My katsura is almost ten years old and up until a recent infestation of Emerald ash borer, was growing reasonably well under mature ash trees and beside a mature Shagbark hickory and neighbouring fence. It does show stress (limp leaves and early yellowing) when there is a drought and when the neighbour raised his property height by more than 30 centimetres. The loss of the ash trees allowed more sun to shine on it. It responded well to deep watering and fertilizing and still turns a beautiful shade of yellow in the fall.
