Atlas cedar Location: On the southwest corner of Slusher Hall; GPS: 10923291.77, 3611190.18 Size:Description: The hardiest of the true cedars, Atlas cedar is a beautiful ornamental tree that becomes more graceful with age. Atlas cedar is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and Algeria. The variety 'glauca' is distinctly blue, and is commonly planted. There is some controversy as to whether Atlas cedar is a separate species or a variety of Lebanon cedar (Cedrus libani).
