Notes: This is a legendary tree that used to grow on the grounds of Beechtree Elementary School, on Beechtree Lane, what was formerly Beechtree Farm. It had a circumference of 152 inches and was 78 ft. tall when it was nomianted as a big tree around 1970. According to the nominator it is the tree that the farm, school and road were named for. It is one of several large beech trees in the neighborhood for which Roundtree Park and neighborhood may also be named. |
