Some Remarkable Trees Nominated

The new shipment of books has arrived! You should be able to find them at your favorite bookseller.

Thanks to all of you who purchased our book! And for those of you who are waiting for the second edition to arrive, now is the perfect time to browse the nearly 1,000 nominations sent to us by tree enthusiasts of all ages. Here you will be inspired by the original words and pictures of our nominators, and you will see many fabulous trees that were not included in the book.

In our book, Remarkable Trees of Virginia, you will find not just the thoughts of two writers and a photographer who spent four years visiting some of Virginia’s finest trees, but the accumulated wisdom of all the tree nominators, arborists, foresters, botanists, landscapers, city planners, homeowners, hikers, naturalists, and others who shared what they knew with us. We intend this book to honor them as well as Virginia’s remarkable trees.
