Notes: This tree is 63 years old. Its circumference is 9 feet, height is 112 feet, and has a 70 foot limb and leaf spread. Leonard and Delano Wood, ages 8 and 10 respectively, cut a small Sycamore sapling that was used as a haystack pole. By summers end, the pole had sprouted leaves above the hay line. A plaque declares the authenticity of this Sycamore Tree's unusual beginning. |
