Virginia Big Tree Program

Wayne Beagle nominated this magnificent Eastern Red Cedar, Juniperus Virginiana, located on his property in Isle of Wight County. Mr. Beagle reports that the tree is very healthy and that is was professionally pruned and fenced off in April of 2001. He says that the tree will become the focal point of a current development project.

This champ has a circumference of 204 inches, a height of 58 feet, and an average crown spread of 51 feet - giving a final score of 275 points!

A special thanks to Wayne Beagle for all the wonderful photos!
